Shark Warning! - Orleans, MA

There have been multiple sightings of sharks this summer so far, which sparks great concern over swimming at the beach and other marine activities like boating or sailing. These sightings have caused two Massachusetts beaches to close its swimming. The first sighting of a shark was in Orleans at Nauset Beach. Another shark was spotted near Marconi Beach.

Two people were attacked by sharks last year, resulting in one death, so surveillance and caution is increased for this summer. Always make sure to not go too far out where its difficult to make it back to shore. Use caution and look out for your loved ones who are swimming too.
